One of my most favorite photos was taken on a fishing trip with my two best buddies, Dan and Rod. The background was the sun rising behind a mountain, so the sky was a mix of different colors. And I was holding up a mug of coffee, with the print ‘Local Hooker.’
Coffee is one of the fisherman’s best friends. It ranks up there with a dependable rod, efficient fillet knife and favorite coffee mug. Here are some excellent reasons why we love coffee so much:

Why we love coffee so much?
The smell alone is heavenly
It can be the smell of ground beans or the brew while being made. Scientific research proved that even sleepy rats could be jolted awake by the mere smell of coffee.
It triggers wakefulness, even before we get the actual java jolt. Our body, just by the smell of coffee, remembers the jolt from drinking the real brew.
It also brings back memories, good and bad. When I look at that photo with my fishing buds, I can almost taste the coffee, smell the fragrance of earth when it’s waking up and the sound of silence at sunrise. I can also remember I caught a beautiful 10 kg trout that day.
The taste itself is heavenly
When you are a coffee connoisseur, you would know that coffee has different personalities that consist of its aroma, the flavor, the fragrance, and the origin.
In general, coffee has a bitter taste, but there can also be underlying tastes like fruitiness and even sourness. We also talk about the richness of the flavor and its balance.
I am a puritan who take my coffee black, but I respect all others who take it with sugar, cream, or milk. I respect even those who like their coffee with fancy names and frothy tops. I also regularly visit Coffee Corner to find other interesting things about coffee.
Coffee has numerous health benefits
Coffee encourages relationships
Someone gave me a mug, which says, “Great relationships start with great coffee.”
A scientific study backs up this theory, where the results of their research showed workplace colleagues who drink coffee participate better in workplace activities.
Coffee soothes us, and when we sit around with our best buds having our brew, there is a more profound sense of camaraderie. When the backdrop is a rising sun and a lake jumping with trouts, it is almost a religious experience.
