Fullah

Fullah is also known as fried cheese. Fullah is a Saudi dessert served with coffee and taste like a doughnut. I suggest you not place your stove over medium heat so the fullah is not done quickly on the outside yet not finished on the inside. For people not living in the Middle East you can easily find an Arabic version of Kraft cream cheese at your local Arabic store. The outcome will look like fried biscuits.

UPON arriving in Saudi Arabia, Galangal (also called Greater Galangal or Khalanjan as the Saudis call it) was the first new spice I was introduced to in the Kingdom. My mother in law gave me a huge jar to use when cooking as she loves spices as much as I do and knew I would be pleased with receiving my new treasure. I was thinking of a different recipe that would sweep my husband off his feet. Therefore, I came up with this. Boy was he ever happy when he saw this on the table, but what was even better was all the ooh’s and ahh’s I got. We could not stop gobbling these little things down and how incredibly filling they are, you do not need anything else on the table.
