Aloo Mutter


4 potatoes
1 cup green peas
1 large onion, chopped
1 large tomato, chopped
2 green chilies, chopped
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1 cup oil
Salt to taste

1. Wash potatoes and cut them into cubes. In a 9-inch skillet heat the oil and fry chopped onion until the onion turns translucent. Add tomato, turmeric powder, red chili powder, green chilies, Fry it till oil is absorbed. Add potatoes and green peas and mix them well. Fry for 5 minutes.

2. Add 2 cups water and cover mixture. Cook until water is partly absorbed.

Yields: 4 servings
