Outback Steakhouse-Style Steak



There is nothing I love more than a nice big juicy steak. My family and I are frequent visitors at Outback Steakhouse and I try to replicate the same great taste at home with what I have. This is a great steak rub that you simply rub all the steaks before cooking and you even have some left to store for the next time you want to make steaks. The butter and parsley mix is a great technique I picked up when my husband and I lived in DC we used to love to go to Bistro Francais in Georgetown, this was something they always did.

4 steaks
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons black pepper
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 -1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
2 tablespoons butter
chopped parsley

1. In a small bowl add salt, paprika, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, coriander and turmeric. Mix well, place in a glass jar and store in a dark place when not using. 

2. Rub spice mix all over steaks then grill until thoroughly cooked. Place a small spoon of butter on top of each cooked steak and sprinkle with parsley. Serve.

Yields: 4

    Making this tonight on T-bones with a salad and your OG salad dressing that I could eat on the daily, lol!!!
    Btw, do you use an indoor grill? I'm going to buy one today so I'm hoping it's still super tasty, inshaAllah...

    I 've never in my life had a steak, I've had steak fajitas and stuff but never and actual steak like this. It looks yummy though...

    Kristin thanks and Yea I love that stuff as well I can not make salad without it anymore lol. Sounds great can I come over?

    Dear Noor, thanks many for you website, I chanced upon it a few days ago and bookmarked it. Gonna try out ur stuffed eggplants today, and the kromb mahshi, rolling's gonna be the toughest part for me:)

    What's that salad on the side? With the tomatoes and the gooey stuff on top.. Do share it here if tastes as good as it looks!

    Wa Alaykum Salam,

    The rolling is actually really easy you will see. That is baked tomatoes and mozzarella (add thyme and olive oil wrapped in foil) and also cucumbers.
