Fall Spice Cookies

The Fall flavored spices and smooth buttermilk in these cookies offers a sweet and gentle kick. These little babies are crispy on the outside and soft in the inside perfect alongside your favorite hot drink.

6 tablespoons butter, softened
2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup buttermilk
1-1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom

1. Pre-heat oven to 400F. In a large mixing bowl add butter and sugar. With a hand mixer cream together.

2. Beat in buttermilk. Sift the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, allspice and cardamom. Mix well.

3. Drop rounded tablespoon full onto a nonstick baking mat on a baking sheet. Bake until golden 10-15 minutes. Let cool.

Yields: 20 cookies

    O' I love these, I made some with buttermilk before, they were like scone cookies. I love spices I should try it next time, I just did the chocolate chip thang.
