I thought I would do a post about my favorite (and least favorite) places to get coffee here in Riyadh. Now when I say coffee, I really mean cappuccino or other espresso drinks, I don’t drink American coffee. I’m pretty picky when it comes to what I drink so I’m confident that you would like these places too if you’re a coffee drinker. I would love to hear your favorite places too.
1. Cafe Bateel
I’ve never been let down by anything that I’ve ordered here.. They really do have the best of everything and the atmosphere is top notch. They have one of the best coffee menus that I’ve ever seen.
I love the cappuccino at Paul, the coffee is always fresh and it has tons of foam, which I love.
I usually would never order coffee from a Japanese restaurant, but I’m glad I did. It comes with this delicious stiff foam and the coffee taste so fresh.
This is a new place that we just found. The first time we ate there they had signs about having the best coffee in Riyadh, but I doubted it. A week later we went back and I tried it and wow is all I have to say. I’ve never had anything like it. They bring you this huge cup of a foamed milk and then a shot of espresso, you just add it yourself. It was really good.
I love Italian and French restaurants because you know you’re going to get good food, dessert and coffee. They’ve never let me down, the coffee is always good.
1. LongHorn Steakhouse
I love their food, but they have the worst coffee that I’ve ever tasted. The coffee beans were really old and tasted ashy.
They always ask you if you would like to buy a coffee after your meal, but why? It was pretty bad! Again the coffee was old.
3. The Pancake House
Since they went under new management everything has gone down hill and unfortunately the coffee too.
The ones back home have some of the best coffee ever since they buy from Green Mountain. I guess I thought the ones here would be the same, but nope. Every time I even try to drink it, I get the worst stomach ache. It just tastes strong and old.
